Rostec Develops Long-Range Loitering Munition

by BDI Editorial Staff

Rostec State Corporation has developed a new long-range loitering munition designed to strike military targets deep within enemy rear areas.

The drone is equipped with a reliable engine and can execute missions at ranges of hundreds of kilometers. In addition, the drone features high speed and maneuverability, allowing it to employ various flight profiles to evade enemy air defense zones while ensuring high target kill accuracy.

“Rostec continues to rapidly advance both civil and military unmanned technologies. At present, our portfolio includes more than ten types of mass-produced vehicles fulfilling missions for various customers. A wide range of reconnaissance and strike UAVs created by Rostec’s companies are used, in particular, in the special military operation zone. The new loitering munition features a delta wing and is currently undergoing testing,” said Boris Podolny, Managing Director of UAV Development at Rostec State Corporation.

The vehicle has been designed with a strong emphasis on electronic warfare immunity. A reliable UAV communication link enables control of the UAV throughout its entire flight range.
